Para ello, ha convocado a los interesados de la industria, a participar en proyectos diversos que permitan disponer en un futuro cercano (2030), de aeronaves comerciales capaces de volar a velocidades entre MACH 2 \u2013 5. Este \u00faltimo valor, es el considerado como umbral a partir del cual comienza el r\u00e9gimen de vuelo hipers\u00f3nico, actualmente solo alcanzado por sofisticados vectores de empleo en el \u00e1rea de defensa y en programas espaciales.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>CLEVELAND \u2013<\/b>\u00a0Space Agency experts announced plans Wednesday to kick off a new project to develop enabling technologies for future near-hypersonic commercial\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.militaryaerospace.com\/computers\/article\/14207748\/passenger-aircraft-avionics-environmentally-friendly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\">passenger aircraft<\/a>\u00a0that travel at speeds of nearly five times the speed of sound.<\/p>\n<p>Officials of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center in Cleveland say they will issue a formal solicitation in August for the NASA High-Speed Endoatmospheric Commercial Vehicle Conceptual Design Study and Technology Roadmaps Development project.<\/p>\n<p>NASA is seeking to develop\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.militaryaerospace.com\/unmanned\/article\/14210964\/enabling-technologies-for-urban-air-mobility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\">enabling technologies<\/a>\u00a0for high-speed commercial transports able to fly at speeds between Mach 2 and Mach 5 that could enter service as early as the 2030s. Mach 3 to Mach 5 represent speeds between 1,535 and 3,836 miles per hour.<\/p>\n<p>Studies will identify key technology needs and opportunities to enable such passenger aircraft. Specific speed, passenger count, range, and allowable technology readiness level will be negotiated after contract award.<\/p>\n<p>NASA\u2019s Hypersonic Technology and Commercial Supersonic Technology projects fall under the NASA Advanced Air Vehicles Program, which will lead efforts to develop an environmentally sustainable civilian high-speed aircraft. These technical criteria are subject to change in the final request for proposals (RFP).<\/p>\n<p>NASA officials say they expect to release a draft RFP for this near-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.militaryaerospace.com\/sensors\/article\/14200142\/hypersonic-sensors-heat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\">hypersonic<\/a>\u00a0passenger jet program on 28 June 2022, and sponsor online industry briefings the week of 18 July 2022.
