Pero ocurre que muchos pa\u00edses con capacidades m\u00e1s modestas, se esfuerzan tambi\u00e9n por mostrar que disponen de esas tecnolog\u00edas emergentes y potencialmente disruptivas, como es el caso de Corea del Norte e Ir\u00e1n. El Comandante Espacial de la Guardia Revolucionaria de Ir\u00e1n, comunic\u00f3 estar desarrollando Armas Hipers\u00f3nicas, capaces de penetrar los actuales sistemas de defensa a\u00e9rea de sus potenciales oponentes. Expertos en el tema afirman que Ir\u00e1n suele \u201cexagerar\u201d sus logros, no obstante lo cual el tema es seguido con preocupaci\u00f3n, por el efecto desestabilizador que tendr\u00edan esas armas en la conflictiva regi\u00f3n de Medio Oriente.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>TEHRAN, Iran \u2014 Iran has developed a hypersonic missile capable of penetrating all defense systems, General Amirali Hajizadeh, the commander of its Revolutionary Guards aerospace unit, claimed on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Hypersonic missiles, like traditional ballistic missiles which can deliver nuclear weapons, can fly more than five times the speed of sound.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis hypersonic ballistic missile was developed to counter air defense shields,\u201d Hajizadeh said, quoted by Iran\u2019s Fars news agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be able to breach all the systems of anti-missile defense,\u201d said the general, adding that he believed it would take decades before a system capable of intercepting it is developed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis missile, which targets enemy anti-missile systems, represents a great generational leap in the field of missiles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after Iran admitted on Saturday that it had sent drones to Russia, but said it had done so before the Ukraine war.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post reported on October 16 that Iran was preparing to ship missiles to Russia, but Tehran rejected the report as \u201ccompletely false.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unlike ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles fly on a trajectory low in the atmosphere, potentially reaching targets more quickly.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea\u2019s test of a hypersonic missile last year sparked concerns about a race to acquire the technology.<\/p>\n<p>Russia currently leads the race to develop the missiles, followed by China and the United States.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11233\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11233\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11233\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/AP22050486207021-640x400-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/AP22050486207021-640x400-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/AP22050486207021-640x400-1-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11233\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This photo taken from video provided by the Russian Defense Ministry Press Service Feb. 19, 2022, shows a MiG-31K fighter of the Russian air force dropping a Kinzhal hypersonic cruise missile during a military drills.
