Denominado H4, se trata de un L\u00e1ser de 10 Kw de potencia completamente modular, lo que le permite ser instalado en cualquier tipo de plataformas. Estas caracter\u00edsticas le otorgan una enorme versatilidad, ya que todo el conjunto puede transportado a donde se necesite, e instalado incluso en la caja de un veh\u00edculo liviano tipo Pick up sin requerir adaptaciones especiales. Este tipo de armas es desarrollado para otorgar capacidades de defensa a\u00e9rea cercana para tropas e instalaciones, frente a la amenaza a\u00e9rea creciente de UAS y Loitering Munition que proliferan en el campo de batalla actual.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The US Air Force and Raytheon have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtx.com\/news\/news-center\/2023\/06\/12\/raytheon-technologies-delivers-fourth-combat-ready-laser-weapon-to-u-s-air-force\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trialed<\/a>\u00a0the service\u2019s first palletized high-energy laser weapon during live-fire exercises at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Known as the \u201cH4,\u201d the capability is the first 10-kilowatt laser developed according to US military requirements in a stand-alone configuration.<\/p>\n<p>These specifications enable mobility for the weapon, allowing users to move and mount the system anywhere it is needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>H4 Palletized Laser Weapon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>H4 serves as the fourth operational laser weapon system Raytheon has delivered to the air force. It is also the eighth system the company has handed to the US Department of Defense.<\/p>\n<p>The laser weapon is built for securing military assets and personnel against short-range aerial threats. It has a compact design to fit on a pickup truck bed.<\/p>\n<p>The system comprises a high-energy laser weapon module, internal electrical power, targeting software, and a long-range electro-optical\/infrared sensor beam director packed for tough combat conditions.<\/p>\n<p>H4 is operated through a laptop and a video game-style console.
