La instalaci\u00f3n de infraestructura de producci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en Hungr\u00eda, forma parte del programa integral de modernizaci\u00f3n de las FFAA. El contrato de este pa\u00eds con la firma alemana, permite que la fabricaci\u00f3n de modernos veh\u00edculos militares se realice en el pa\u00eds adquirente. Photo: Rheinmetall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of Rheinmetall\u2019s new factory in Zalaegerszeg is a significant step for our company and a sign of our close ties with the government and armed forces of Hungary, an EU partner and fellow NATO member state,\u201d Rheinmetall Executive Board Chairman\u00a0<b>Armin Papperger<\/b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rheinmetall.com\/en\/media\/news-watch\/news\/2023\/8\/2023-08-18-rheinmetall-opens-lynx-infantry-fighting-vehicle-factory-in-zalaegerszeg,-hungary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to be part of the growing industrial community in Zalaegerszeg and look forward to working with local partners and drawing on local talent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHundreds of people are working together here in Zalaegerszeg to produce top-notch military systems for the Hungarian armed forces as well as export customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hungary\u2019s IFV Fleet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rheinmetall received the 2-billion euro ($2.2-billion) order of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rheinmetall.com\/en\/media\/news-watch\/news\/2020\/2020-09-10_major-defence-deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than 200 Lynx KF41 IFVs<\/a>\u00a0for Hungarian defense in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the IFV fleet, the company will supply the country with 18 combat support vehicles, including B\u00fcffel\/Buffalo 3 armored recovery vehicles and 38 military trucks.<\/p>\n<p>The package consists of simulators, training, spare parts, and sustainment services.<\/p>\n<p>The initial delivery will comprise 46 Germany-produced Lynx systems in command and control configuration.
