Los \u00faltimos conflictos como el de Nagorno Karabaj y el\u00a0actualmente en desarrollo en Ucrania, han mostrado que los \u201cGrandes Blindados\u201d contin\u00faan siendo sistemas fundamentales para el desarrollo de las operaciones. Pero han ense\u00f1ado tambi\u00e9n, que peque\u00f1as fracciones operando modernos misiles antitanque port\u00e1tiles, resultan herramientas de bajo costo relativo y extraordinariamente eficientes, para hacer frente a estas plataformas.. Por esa raz\u00f3n, el mercado de misiles antiblindados\u00a0esta mostrando un extraordinario crecimiento, que se estima cercano a los US$ 17.000 millones. Lideran este nicho de mercado, empresas estadounidenses como Raytheon y Lockheed, con el 23% de participaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Well, the tank is alive and well.\u00a0 Tank production will exceed 2,700 vehicles through the forecast period.\u00a0 As long as tanks are around, armies will need countermeasures.\u00a0 This is where anti-armor missiles come in, and Ukrainian soldiers are showing how effective they can be.<\/p>\n

The market for anti-armor missiles will be worth $16.8 billion during the forecast period, involving the production of 253,877 missiles.\u00a0 The leading players in this market will be U.S. firms, specifically Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, both of which will be engaged in individual and joint ventures.\u00a0 Together, U.S. companies will account for a 23 percent ($3.87 billion) value share of this market.<\/p>\n

Europe\u2019s position within this market has deteriorated, but it will begin to climb again once new systems are available. European companies will control a 19.08 percent ($3.2 billion) value share (this includes Ukraine, but not Russia).<\/p>\n

The anti-armor missile will likely experience an evolution similar to that of its anti-ship and strike counterparts.\u00a0 These missions, once performed by individual missiles, may merge.\u00a0 In the future, a single missile may engage aircraft, vehicles and bunkers.<\/p>\n
