Este sistema que ha mostrado su eficiencia en combate, principalmente en la guerra en Ucrania, ha recibido su actualizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s importante en sus 25 a\u00f1os de servicio. El desarrollo se ha enfocado principalmente en el sistema lanzador JAVELIN \u201cCommand Launch Unit\u201d (CLU). Importantes mejoras en el sistema electro-\u00f3ptico (Visibilidad, Zoom, autofocus y sensores) que permite reducir a 5 seg el tiempo para adquirir el blanco. Reducci\u00f3n del peso, menor tama\u00f1o y modificaciones ergon\u00f3micas, son algunas de las mejoras que los soldados han estado testeando, en pruebas que incluyeron tanques T-72 como enemigo simulado y ensayos de fuego real.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A group of Cavalry soldiers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.army.mil\/article\/269303\/2_7_cav_troopers_test_new_javelin_missile_system_at_yuma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently concluded testing and training<\/a>\u00a0on the US Army\u2019s latest Javelin anti-tank missile system, the weapon\u2019s first major update in more than 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Javelin Lightweight Command Launch Unit (LW CLU) boasts increased zoom, allowing soldiers to \u201cscan out farther with higher clarity,\u201d Staff Sgt.\u00a0<b>Tom Magsino<\/b>\u00a0explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything was crystal clear. It is like watching television in high definition as opposed to TV in the 90s,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The updated Javelin also incorporates autofocus, which one of the testing soldiers called a \u201chuge, huge help.\u201d Spc.<b>\u00a0Julian Martinez<\/b>\u00a0said he \u201chit the autofocus button and boom, perfect. It takes away about 5 seconds of my time doing what I need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, upgraded and redesigned hand positions give soldiers relief when holding the system. Photo Tad Browning\/US Army<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Training and Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The soldiers practiced detection, recognition, and identification exercises with the new LW CLU.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, the troopers conducted motorized battle drills under realistic conditions against armor such as the Russian T-72 tank.<\/p>\n<p>At the conclusion of the exercises, the troopers were tested according to a \u201ccrawl-walk-run\u201d method to ensure the weapon system collected all operational data and user integration with the new piece of equipment was seamless.<\/p>\n<p>The soldiers completing the training found the differences between the old system and the new LW CLU easily noticeable.<\/p>\n<p>The battle drills culminated in a live-fire exercise with the new weapons system in which the troopers found it very easy to hit their intended targets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew I was going to hit that target,\u201d (a T-72 main battle tank). \u201cI could\u2019ve squinted my eyes and not even thought about it and still hit it,\u201d Cpl. Collin Iadarola said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Javelin Missile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedefensepost.com\/2023\/05\/04\/lockheed-raytheon-javelin-us-army\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Javelin anti-tank missile<\/a>\u00a0is a man-portable, medium-range tactical system that provides precision direct fire against enemy armored vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>It employs the fire-and-forget principle, eliminating the need for additional guidance to hit targets successfully.<\/p>\n<p>The weapon\u2019s \u201ctop attack flight profile\u201d allows it to climb above its target for improved visibility and strike where the armor is weakest.<\/p>\n<p>It has a state-of-the-art imaging infrared seeker and tandem warhead for improved accuracy and power.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from neutralizing armored vehicles, the Javelin can execute direct attacks against buildings, close-in targets, and helicopters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedefensepost.com\/2023\/08\/28\/us-army-updated-javelin\/#google_vignette\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>https:\/\/www.thedefensepost.com<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soldados del\u00a0US Army\u00a0han ensayado la versi\u00f3n modernizada del misil antitanque port\u00e1til JAVELIN.
