Aircraft from the USS Philippine Sea medically evacuated a civilian mariner injured in the attack,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-navy\/2024\/06\/13\/navy-helicopter-evacuates-mariner-injured-in-red-sea-houthi-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press reported.<\/a>\u00a0The crew later\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/1802087678415929507\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abandoned the ship<\/a>\u00a0due to continued fires and an inability to control them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\"><b>June 12, 2024:\u00a0<\/b>U.S. forces\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/1801024662526107997\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">destroyed<\/a>\u00a0three anti-ship cruise missile launchers in Yemen and one aerial drone launched from Yemen over the Red Sea. The Houthis also launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles from Yemen over the Red Sea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\">Also, a Houthi unmanned surface vessel struck the Greek vessel M\/V Tutor in the Red Sea, in what The Associated Press\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/yemen-houthis-attacks-red-sea-israel-hamas-12e8bf184bfa08669bbe17b8e1f99b0f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a0was a \u201cboat-borne bomb attack,\u201d causing severe flooding and damage to the engine room. The crew\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/1801768195776303309\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abandoned the ship<\/a>\u00a0and were rescued by the USS Philippine Sea and partner forces. (Navy)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\"><b>June 9, 2024:\u00a0<\/b>The U.S. military reported that two commercial ships were struck by Houthi missiles in the Gulf of Aden.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\">One anti-ship ballistic cruise missile hit the Antigua- and Barbuda-flagged cargo ship Norderney forward station late Saturday,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/yemen-houthi-rebels-ship-attack-israel-hamas-war-f72e5a614ba04254031de5b8aaa26f2f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press reported<\/a>, starting a fire that those on board put out, the U.S. military\u2019s Central Command said. It added that a second anti-ship cruise missile also hit the Norderney.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\">Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree claimed the attack in a prerecorded video message Sunday, saying the vessel had been targeted with both missiles and drones. Tracking data analyzed by The Associated Press showed the Norderney was still in the Gulf of Aden on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\">In a second attack, a Houthi ballistic missile hit the Tavvishi, a Liberian-flagged, Swiss-owned-and-operated container ship in the Gulf of Aden, according to CENTCOM. Saree claimed the attack happened in the Arabian Sea, but provided no evidence. Tracking data suggested the Tavvishi was in the Gulf of Aden at the time of the attack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\"><b>June 6, 2024:\u00a0<\/b>U.S. forces\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/1798868976057156017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">destroyed<\/a>\u00a0eight aerial drones launched from Yemen over the Red Sea and two surface drones in the Red Sea. A coalition ship engaged another aerial drone launched from Yemen over the Red Sea. Also, the Houthis launched an anti-ship ballistic missile from Yemen over the Red Sea. There were no injuries or damages reported by U.S., coalition or commercial ships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-1tqpf5s-0 kEzXdV body-paragraph body-paragraph\"><b>June 4, 2024:\u00a0<\/b>The Houthis\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CENTCOM\/status\/1798092537103544572\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launched<\/a>\u00a0two anti-ship ballistic missiles from Yemen into the Red Sea. Later, U.S. forces destroyed one aerial drone over the Gulf of Aden and three others over the Red Sea. The Houthis also launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles from Yemen into the Gulf of Aden.
