M\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de casas fueron da\u00f1adas y la mitad de ellas destru\u00eddas. Adem\u00e1s, el Tif\u00f3n impacto sobre los 6 grupos de islas de la parte central del pa\u00eds, lo que dificult\u00f3 enormemente la inmediata asistencia de los damnificados. Ante \u00e9sta Emergencia Humanitaria el\u00a0<strong><em>Comit\u00e9 Internacional de la Cruz Roja<\/em><\/strong> (ICRC) lanz\u00f3 una respuesta a gran escala, que incluy\u00f3 un programa de alojamiento, para la reconstrucci\u00f3n de miles de viviendas permanentes para los grupos humanos m\u00e1s vulnerables y afectados por el desastre. Un aspecto importante a destacar, es que el citado.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Following the destruction brought by Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013, the ICRC launched a large-scale humanitarian response including a shelter program for the reconstruction of thousands of permanent houses for the most vulnerable among the aected population. The shelter program, implemented together with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), focused on Samar region and was part of a larger response of the Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement over the entire Visayas region.
