El papel cada vez menor de los helic\u00f3pteros de ataque en la guerra convencional. Este art\u00edculo argumenta que los helic\u00f3pteros de ataque si bien a\u00fan no est\u00e1n obsoletos, sus funciones tradicionales se ven cada vez m\u00e1s amenazadas por sistemas avanzados de defensa a\u00e9rea, doctrinas en evoluci\u00f3n y alternativas m\u00e1s econ\u00f3micas o vers\u00e1tiles, como las municiones de merodeo y la artiller\u00eda. La mayor\u00eda de los pa\u00edses de la OTAN y pa\u00edses afines est\u00e1n adoptando medidas parciales para sus flotas de helic\u00f3pteros de ataque con el fin de reducir los riesgos. El an\u00e1lisis rastrea la evoluci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica de los helic\u00f3pteros de ataque y eval\u00faa su competitividad en conflictos continentales contempor\u00e1neos de similar nivel. El estudio concluye que su viabilidad futura depende de su integraci\u00f3n en marcos operativos multidominio m\u00e1s amplios, m\u00e1s que de capacidades independientes que los expongan a la competencia de otros sistemas de armas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This paper argues that attack helicopters are losing relevance in conventional continental warfare. While not yet obsolete, their traditional roles\u2014close combat attack, deep strikes, and anti-tank operations\u2014are increasingly threatened by advanced air defence systems, evolving doctrines, and cheaper or more versatile alternatives like loitering munitions and artillery. Most NATO and like-minded nations are adopting partial measures toward their attack helicopter fleets to reduce risks. The analysis traces the historical evolution of attack helicopters and assesses their competitivity in contemporary near-peer continental conflicts.
