Area residents can expect to hear and see increased military activity, including infantry operations, artillery firing, weapons training, aviation operations, and military engineering projects. These demanding field exercises are crucial in preparing West Point cadets to meet the physical and mental challenges they will face as officers in the U.S. Army, ensuring they are ready to lead with competence and character.<\/p>\n
As part of the Army\u2019s push toward modernization, drones have been integrated into cadet summer training. Cadets, faculty, and staff from the Robotics Research Center and Department of Military Instruction collaborated to design, build, and deploy the drones. Cadets demonstrated their capabilities with the new drone technology and discussed it with BG Shane Reeves \u201996, Dean of the Academic Board, during his visit last week.<\/p>\n
