By merging Milliken’s extensive textile manufacturing expertise with Numat’s cutting-edge metal-organic framework technology, the partnership is set to create protective clothing that meets the demanding requirements of extreme operational environments.

The newly engineered fabrics are designed to neutralize both chemical and biological threats, filling a critical gap in protective gear while consciously steering clear of PFAS compounds—substances that are increasingly under scrutiny from regulatory agencies. Production of these pioneering fabrics will take place in the United States, ensuring domestic manufacturing that caters to essential users, including organizations specializing in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense, as well as first responders in need of modern alternatives to conventional protective attire.

Ben Hernandez, CEO of Numat, described this partnership as a generational leap in the realm of protective fabric technology. He highlighted the shared commitment of both companies to produce sustainable, high-performance materials that enhance safety for individuals tasked with the essential duty of safeguarding communities.

This push to enhance protective fabric technology comes amidst a broader trend within the industry, as various companies aim to prioritize safety, comfort, and adaptability in their designs. GORE-TEX Labs has recently unveiled a new generation of PYRAD flame-retardant combat suits, specifically engineered to keep soldiers cool, protected, and agile during extreme heat conditions, often exceeding 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). In tandem, the company has rolled out a lightweight all-weather jacket aimed at soldiers operating in cold and windy environments.

Fuente: https://news.ssbcrack.com

Las compañías estadounidenses MILLIKEN y NUMAT han establecido acuerdos para el desarrollo de una nueva generación de telas auto –decontaminantes y reactivas, destinadas a la…

[36,24
