G95 as the Successor to the G36<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n G36 rifles, in\u00a0numerous variants, have served as\u00a0the standard armament of German forces since 1997, also achieving export success and entering service, among others, with the Spanish Armed Forces. In\u00a02017, the German Ministry of Defence began looking for a\u00a0successor. The procurement process was considered one of the most significant competitions in\u00a0Europe aimed at\u00a0selecting a\u00a0new type of personal weapon.<\/p>\n The HK416 is a\u00a0major modification of the American AR-15, created for the needs of U.S. special operations forces. Its most important modification is the replacement of Stoner\u2019s DI system (direct impingement \u2013 gas directed into the bolt carrier, more accurately referred to\u00a0as\u00a0an internal piston) with a\u00a0short-stroke gas piston system. One advantage of this solution is that it prevents some of the gases from entering the receiver, which is associated with certain user-level issues. The HK416 is a\u00a0proven design and continues to\u00a0evolve \u2013 since the first complete carbines were introduced, the weapon has undergone many upgrades. In\u00a0Polish special operations units and specialized police formations, it has been widely used for many years, from the earliest models to\u00a0the currently fielded HK416A5.<\/p>\n The G95 is fully adapted for both right- and left-handed shooters. The safety combined with the fire-selector switch (semi-automatic and fully automatic), the magazine-release buttons, and the bolt-catch release are all duplicated. The T-shaped charging handle is located along the axis of the weapon.<\/p>\n Unlike the M16 and M4 rifles, the fire selector does not rotate by\u00a090 degrees to\u00a0reach the next position. On\u00a0European-designed weapons, settings are changed by\u00a045 degrees. This makes operating the weapon intuitive using the thumb of the firing hand on\u00a0the pistol grip.<\/p>\n Unlike earlier models, the HK416A8 is equipped with a\u00a0quick-detach handguard fitted with a\u00a0section of NATO Accessory Rail (NAR, compliant with STANAG 4694) on\u00a0the top and bottom, while the sides feature HKey mounting slots. These are non-standard interfaces for which few accessories exist. They are used to\u00a0attach sling mounts or\u00a0side NAR rail segments. However, as\u00a0can be\u00a0seen in\u00a0the photos of the new G95 rifles, the manufacturer has implemented a\u00a0handguard with M-LOK slots.<\/p>\n The stock\u2019s adjustment slider is equipped with a\u00a0cheek riser, intended to\u00a0make it easier to\u00a0achieve a\u00a0proper cheek weld when using optical and electro-optical sights selected in\u00a0a\u00a0separate procurement. The rifle will be\u00a0paired with the ELCAN SpecterDR 1-4\u00d7 optical sight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Heckler & Koch Does Not Hold Back on Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Heckler & Koch is a\u00a0brand that needs no\u00a0introduction. For many years, its products have set benchmarks for quality and have been used worldwide, often manufactured locally under license. A\u00a0large user base and the continuous refinement of existing solutions have made H&K one of the most proven small-arms suppliers in\u00a0the world.<\/p>\n However, the Oberndorf factory is not resting on\u00a0its laurels and continues to\u00a0develop new solutions that keep pace with emerging trends and evolving operational conditions. One of the latest innovations is the HK421 lightweight machine gun, chambered for full-power rifle ammunition. Compared to\u00a0general-purpose machine guns such as\u00a0the MG5, it features significantly reduced weight and dimensions, making it easier to\u00a0carry, operate, and maneuver. The HK421 could be\u00a0admired for the first time in\u00a0Poland at\u00a0the MSPO 2025 exhibition in\u00a0Kielce, where it was showcased alongside H&K\u2019s other latest products at\u00a0the booth of its distributor, CENZIN.<\/p>\n
