Durante la demostraci\u00f3n, el veh\u00edculo realiz\u00f3 una serie de maniobras t\u00e1cticas y lanzamiento de\u00a0 variedad de proyectiles, entre ellos el reconocido misil Spike. Este evento constituye el primer ensayo de fuego real realizado desde la plataforma, controlada en forma remota y que puede ser operada desde otros buques o desde la costa. Este sistema constituye un verdadero multiplicados de fuerzas, para cualquier flota desplegada en operaciones \u00a0y en el control del espacio mar\u00edtimo de una naci\u00f3n.<!--more--><\/p>\n<article>\n<div id=\"article\">\n<p><span class=\"story_dl\">March 9 (UPI) &#8212;<\/span> Rafael Advanced Defense Systems completed a test firing demonstration using its Protector unmanned surface vehicle, or USV.<\/p>\n<p>During the demonstration, the vehicle conducted a series of launches with a variety of munitions, including the Spike missile. The event marked the first missile test firing with a fully operational, remotely-controlled Protector platform.<\/p>\n<p>In a video released by the company, the Protector is shown performing maneuvers and demonstrating its targeting capabilities. Rafael notes the platform can be remotely controlled by personnel operating from ship or shore locations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The firing test demonstrates Protector&#8217;s side array of capabilities and applications,&#8221; Rafael&#8217;s Moshe Elazar <a class=\"tpstyle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.monch.com\/mpg\/news\/19-unmanned\/968-rafael-completes-missile-firing-from-protector-usv.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told M\u00f6nch Publishing Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Elazar went on to explain how the Protector&#8217;s capabilities can provide valuable defenses against maritime threats.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These assets are vulnerable to sabotage or terrorism and the damage that can be inflicted can in some cases be catastrophic. PROTECTOR&#8217;s capabilities are a major force multiplier for navies, for detection, deterrence and finally neutralization of the threat,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The <a class=\"tpstyle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.naval-technology.com\/projects\/protector-unmanned-surface-vehicle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Protector unmanned surface vehicle<\/a> is a multi-mission platform designed to perform operations without revealing its identity to hostile forces.
