De estos agentes, 700 participaron posteriormente en el ataque a Hugging Face.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Two METR staff members (Hjalmar Wijk and Ajeya Cotra) and a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.redwoodresearch.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Redwood Research<\/a>\u00a0staff member contracting with METR (Ryan Greenblatt) worked on premises at OpenAI over a total of six days to attempt to form an independent understanding of model behavior observed during the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/hugging-face-model-evaluation-security-incident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incident<\/a>\u00a0in which OpenAI agents coordinated a multi-day hack of Hugging Face on a shared unsanctioned \u201cmessage board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our investigation focused mostly on the period between July 7th and July 13th. The earlier incidents from training and the subsequent compromise of OpenAI infrastructure described in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=87DyyMV0kCY&amp;t=997s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OpenAI\u2019s recent Black Hat presentation<\/a>\u00a0were out of scope, as was OpenAI\u2019s investigation process and planned remediation.
