Pruebas de armas de energ\u00eda \u00a0l\u00e1ser (LDEW), se llevaron a cabo en marzo del 2017 , por el \u00a0Laboratorio de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de la Defensa (Dstl) de UK , se espera que el programa culmine con un prototipo en 2019. El objetivo del programa es demostrar que un sistema aut\u00f3nomo de armas de energ\u00eda \u00a0l\u00e1ser, \u00a0es capaz de adquirir, rastrear y enganchar objetivos a\u00e9reos y de superficie a diferentes rangos y en diferentes condiciones clim\u00e1ticas. The programme will culminate in a technology demonstrator in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the programme is to demonstrate a standalone laser directed energy weapon system that is capable of acquiring, tracking and engaging aerial and surface targets at various ranges and in different weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The project will enable the Ministry of Defence\u2019s (MOD) Dstl to advise the MOD on the future procurement programme requirements and to establish a road map to an in-service capability.
