La Organizaci\u00f3n para la Cooperaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico, OCDE, ha publicado un valioso documento relacionado a las acciones para prevenir y responder a los accidentes producidos por el manipuleo de sustancias qu\u00edmicas consideradas peligrosas, incluyendo los incidentes producidos por eventos naturales pero que impacten en la industria, (Natural Hazards Triggering Technological Accidents (Natech) Risk Management).<\/p>\n
Pursuant to Article 1 of the Convention signed in Paris on 14th December 1960, and which cameinto\u00a0 force\u00a0 on\u00a0 30th\u00a0 September\u00a0 1961,\u00a0 the\u00a0 Organisation\u00a0 for\u00a0 Economic\u00a0 Co-operation\u00a0 and\u00a0 Development (OECD) shall promote policies designed:<\/p>\n
The original member countries of the OECD are Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany,\u00a0 Greece,\u00a0 Iceland,\u00a0 Ireland,\u00a0 Italy,\u00a0 Luxembourg,\u00a0 the\u00a0 Netherlands,\u00a0 Norway,\u00a0 Portugal,\u00a0 Spain, Sweden,\u00a0 Switzerland,\u00a0 Turkey,\u00a0 the\u00a0 United\u00a0 Kingdom\u00a0 and\u00a0 the\u00a0 United\u00a0 States.\u00a0 The\u00a0 following\u00a0 countries became\u00a0\u00a0 members\u00a0\u00a0 subsequently\u00a0\u00a0 through\u00a0\u00a0 accession at\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 dates\u00a0\u00a0 indicated\u00a0\u00a0 hereafter:\u00a0\u00a0 Japan (28th April 1964),\u00a0 Finland\u00a0 (28th\u00a0 January\u00a0 1969),\u00a0 Australia\u00a0 (7th June 1971),\u00a0 New\u00a0 Zealand\u00a0 (29th May 1973), Mexico\u00a0 (18th May\u00a0 1994),\u00a0 the\u00a0 Czech\u00a0 Republic\u00a0 (21st\u00a0 December\u00a0 1995),\u00a0 Hungary\u00a0 (7th\u00a0 May\u00a0 1996),\u00a0 Poland (22nd November 1996), Korea\u00a0 (2th December 1996) and the Slovak Republic (14th December 2000). The Commission of the European Communities takes part in the work of the OECD (Article 13 of the OECD Convention).<\/p>\n
