Varios combustibles qu\u00edmicos s\u00f3lidos se han utilizado para mejorar el rendimiento del empuje de los PPT como alternativa del m\u00e1s usado, Teflon; sin embargo, poca investigaci\u00f3n ha sido llevada a cabo sobre el mecanismo de ablaci\u00f3n de combustibles s\u00f3lidos. En ese caso, se han realizado pruebas de funcionamiento de PPT con una rec\u00e1mara rectangular, alimentados con HTPB.
