{"id":2924,"date":"2018-05-04T16:41:22","date_gmt":"2018-05-04T19:41:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nachodelatorre.com.ar\/mosconi\/?p=2924"},"modified":"2018-05-04T16:41:22","modified_gmt":"2018-05-04T19:41:22","slug":"computacion-cuantica-atos-quantum-learning-machine-simula-qubits-reales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/?p=2924","title":{"rendered":"Computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica, Atos Quantum Learning Machine simula Qubits reales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Investigadores del Laboratorio Atos Quantum han modelado con \u00e9xito el &#8216;ruido cu\u00e1ntico&#8217; y, como resultado, la simulaci\u00f3n es m\u00e1s realista que nunca y cercana de cumplir los requisitos de los investigadores.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Atos QLM: simulating real Qubits for increased efficiency<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers at the Atos Quantum Laboratory\u00a0have\u00a0successfully modeled \u2018quantum noise\u2019 and as a result, simulation is more realistic than ever before, and is closer to fulfilling researchers\u2019 requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The Atos Quantum Learning Machine (QLM) now has advanced quantum hardware modeling capabilities such as physics-based realistic qubit noise simulation and optimization of quantum software for real quantum processors.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this innovation, Atos QLM users are now able to optimize their quantum algorithms on any targeted quantum hardware.\u00a0<strong>This major step has been recognized by the Atos Quantum Scientific Council as a breakthrough in the quantum computing research field.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-170119  alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/atos.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Atos-Quantum-Scientific-Council-New-April-2018-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"266\" \/>Atos Chairman and CEO Thierry Breton surrounded by the Atos Quantum Scientific Council members on April 6 : Nobel prize laureate in Physics Serge Haroche, Daniel Est\u00e8ve, Alain Aspect, David DiVincenzo, Artur Ekert, (Fields Medal laureate C\u00e9dric Villani \u2013 member of the Atos Quantum Scientific Council excused) and the members of the managing team of Atos Quantum, next to an Atos QLM.[\/caption]<\/p>\n<p>Following the meeting of the Atos Quantum Scientific Council,\u00a0<strong>Thierry Breton, Chairman and CEO of Atos<\/strong>, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>We are thrilled by the remarkable progress that the Atos Quantum program has delivered as of today. Since the launch of the Atos QLM in July 2017, the machine has benefited from continuous innovations by the Atos Quantum teams. By successfully modeling Quantum noise, researchers at the Atos Quantum Laboratory are now bringing simulation to a whole new dimension, ever closer to reality. This R&amp;D breakthrough, supported by a world-class scientific Council, paves the way for researchers around the globe, enabling them today to test certain algorithms that will provide future quantum computers with their full capabilities, notably in artificial intelligence-related applications.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>A worldwide commercial success for the Atos QLM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A mere nine months after its commercial launch, the Atos QLM \u2013 the world\u2019s most performing quantum simulator, capable of simulating up to 40 quantum bits (Qubits) \u2013 has been sold in several countries including the USA (<a href=\"https:\/\/atos.net\/en\/2017\/press-release\/deals-contracts-press-releases_2017_11_13\/oak-ridge-national-laboratory-acquires-atos-quantum-learning-machine-support-us-department-energy-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oak Ridge National Laboratory<\/a>), France, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, empowering major research programs in various sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Quantum computing should make it possible, in the years to come, to deal with the explosion of data, which Big Data and the Internet of Things bring about. With its targeted and unprecedented compute acceleration capabilities, notably based on the exascale class supercomputer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/atos.net\/fr\/2016\/communiques-de-presse\/communiques-generaux_2016_04_12\/pr-2016_04_12_01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BullSequana<\/a>, quantum computing should also promote advances in deep learning, algorithmics and artificial intelligence for areas as varied as pharmaceuticals or new materials.
