{"id":3007,"date":"2018-05-23T15:27:51","date_gmt":"2018-05-23T18:27:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nachodelatorre.com.ar\/mosconi\/?p=3007"},"modified":"2018-05-23T15:27:51","modified_gmt":"2018-05-23T18:27:51","slug":"ejercito-de-estados-unidos-prohibe-telefonos-chinos-huawei-y-zte-por-seguridad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/?p=3007","title":{"rendered":"Ej\u00e9rcito de Estados Unidos proh\u00edbe tel\u00e9fonos Chinos Huawei y ZTE por seguridad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El personal de las bases militares estadounidenses ya no puede comprar tel\u00e9fonos y otros equipos fabricados por las firmas chinas Huawei y ZTE, luego de que el Pent\u00e1gono dijera que los dispositivos representan un riesgo de seguridad &#8216;inaceptable&#8217;.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.defencetalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/huawei-phones-696x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"391\" height=\"253\" \/>Personnel on US military bases can no longer buy phones and other gear manufactured by Chinese firms Huawei and ZTE, after the Pentagon said the devices pose an \u201cunacceptable\u201d security risk.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns have heightened at the Pentagon about consumer electronics being used to snoop on or track service members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHuawei and ZTE devices may pose an unacceptable risk to (military) personnel, information and mission,\u201d Pentagon spokesman Major Dave Eastburn said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn light of this information, it was not prudent for the Department\u2019s exchanges to continue selling them,\u201d he added, referring to the military-run shops on US bases around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Eastburn said the order to pull Huawei devices was given on Apr 25.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven security concerns about ZTE cell phones and related products, the (Pentagon\u2019s) exchange services also removed ZTE products from their stores,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Eastburn could not discuss the technical aspects of the potential threats, but The Wall Street Journal said the Pentagon fears the Chinese government could track soldiers using Huawei or ZTE devices.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei spokesman Charles Zinkowski said the firm\u2019s devices meet the highest standards of security, privacy and engineering in every country it operates in, including the US.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe remain committed to openness and transparency in everything we do and want to be clear that no government has ever asked us to compromise the security or integrity of any of our networks or devices,\u201d Zinkowski said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>ZTE did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>In January, the Pentagon said it was reviewing its policy on fitness apps and wearable fitness trackers after exercise-logging company Strava published a map compiling its users\u2019 activity.<\/p>\n<p>In Iraq and Syria, viewers could easily spot beacons of activity in remote places where military bases are located, presumably indicating favorite jogging or walking routes.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Dan Coats, the Director of National Intelligence, along with several other top intel officials, said Americans should not buy Huawei or ZTE products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChinese cyber espionage and cyber attack capabilities will continue to support China\u2019s national security and economic priorities,\u201d Coats told the Senate Intelligence Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:<\/strong>\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.defencetalk.com\/us-military-bans-huawei-zte-phones-71651\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.defencetalk.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El personal de las bases militares estadounidenses ya no puede comprar tel\u00e9fonos y otros equipos fabricados por las firmas chinas Huawei y ZTE, luego de&hellip;
