Permite al soldado evitar la detecci\u00f3n por parte de los sofisticados sistemas de c\u00e1maras, que equipan a los \u00a0UAV\u00b4s de exploraci\u00f3n y reconocimiento. Con menos de 3kg de peso, est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para mitigar el efecto de ciertos sistemas radar y de imagen t\u00e9rmica que portan los drones.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/resizer\/NgQ6bmwxkBrp1TIITFV44GZyM3c=\/1200x0\/filters:quality(100)\/arc-anglerfish-arc2-prod-mco.s3.amazonaws.com\/public\/OOXGZR4HJ5HRZK66PIKJEZPQYQ.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"228\" \/>With the number of robotic eyes in the sky increasing daily, humans were bound to find a new way to mask their presence from overhead interlocutors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">While it isn\u2019t as flashy as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/technology\/archive\/2014\/07\/makeup\/374929\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dazzle paint<\/a>\u00a0or as iconic as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.c4isrnet.com\/intel-geoint\/isr\/2018\/07\/03\/what-base-security-needs-to-know-about-insane-clown-posse-camouflage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">juggalo makeup<\/a>, camouflage netting has a long history of success in concealing people, buildings and vehicles from aerial surveillance. Swedish defense giant Saab has a camouflage netting just for individuals, designed to keep them hidden from the special cameras carried by drones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Earlier this year, Marines tested the Barracuda Individual Warfighter Net,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/marine-corps\/modern-day-marine-conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to<\/a>\u00a0remarks Steve Simmerer of Saab Defense and Security gave at the Modern Day Marine event in late September. The tests took place at the East Coast School of Infantry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The net, which weighs 6 pounds and packs up into a pouch, is designed to mitigate certain kinds of radar and thermal imaging, as well as the general visual obfuscation that comes with a mess of netting thrown over a person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Like all netting, it works best when the person using it isn\u2019t moving. That, combined with a design focus on applying the camouflage netting in the field when a threat is detected, make it somewhat more of a niche item, and one dependent on how well other forces can detect a drone to signal the change.
