Lockheed Martin recibi\u00f3 un\u00a0contrato de\u00a0$ 585 millones\u00a0por parte de la Agencia de Defensa de Misiles (MDA) para dise\u00f1ar, desarrollar y entregar su Radar de Defensa Nacional-Hawai (HDR- H) en\u00a0Oahu, Hawaii.\u00a0El radar HDR-H proporcionar\u00e1 una adquisici\u00f3n aut\u00f3noma con un seguimiento de precisi\u00f3n y discriminaci\u00f3n, para optimizar la capacidad defensiva del Sistema de Defensa de Misiles Bal\u00edsticos (BMDS) y contrarrestar las futuras amenazas,\u00a0incluyendo una arquitectura abierta y escalable para una eventual evoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

“Lockheed Martin will leverage the development of our Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) to provide the lowest risk and best value HDR-H solution to MDA, which includes open, scalable architecture for future growth,” said\u00a0Chandra Marshall<\/span>, program director for Lockheed Martin’s Missile Defense Radars market segment.<\/p>\n

LRDR is currently under construction in\u00a0Clear, Alaska<\/span>, and is scheduled for an on-time delivery in 2020. The system’s open architecture design will enable future growth to keep pace with emerging threats.<\/p>\n

“LRDR completed a key milestone in August, successfully searching for, acquiring and tracking numerous satellites, known as a closed loop track, confirming our design is complete, mature and ready for full rate production in 2019,” said Marshall.<\/p>\n

The work for HDR-H will be performed in\u00a0Moorestown, New Jersey<\/span>, and\u00a0Oahu, Hawaii<\/span>.<\/p>\n
