<\/u>Durante la reciente Feria de Defensa y Seguridad LAAD 2019 realizada en Brasil, la empresa IMBEL anunci\u00f3 el lanzamiento de la producci\u00f3n en serie de su fusil de asalto\u00a0Ca IA2<\/strong>\u00a0en calibre 7.62mm. Emplea una plataforma base de excelencia (El FAL), con la incorporaci\u00f3n de accesorios de todo tipo y el empleo de pol\u00edmero en muchas de sus partes, pero manteniendo el indiscutible calibre 7.62.<\/p>\n

During the recent LAAD 20019 Defence and Security exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, State-owned IMBEL \u2013 Ind\u00fastria de Material B\u00e9lico do Brasil announced that the company\u2019s F\u00e1brica de Itajub\u00e1 (Itajub\u00e1 Factory), in Minas Gerais State, is currently getting ready to start mass production of its Ca\u00a07.62x51mm\u00a0IA2\u00a0semi-auto\u00a0carbine. This includes not only tooling up for the process on an internal basis, but also acquiring bulk material for the weapons\u2019 manufacture and contracting third-party suppliers, among other required steps. Formal, official approval of the\u00a0gun\u00a0as a \u201ccontrolled product\u201d by the\u00a0Brazilian Army\u00a0was granted in September, 2017 following an intensive test program carried out by the Service\u2019s CAEx \u2013 Centro de Avalia\u00e7\u00f5es do Ex\u00e9rcito (Army Evaluations Center), the former, highly-regarded Campo de Provas da Marambaia (Marambaia Proving Grounds), in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n
