For example, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smdc.army.mil\/FactSheets\/HELMTT.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck<\/a>\u00a0is an 8-wheeled behemoth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA need exists for an inexpensive, one-man portable directed energy weapon,\u201d according to the Army patent, which you can download along with Burke\u2019s slides below.<\/p>\n<p>Troops \u201calready carry rifles.
