Thales made the announcement this week at the Paris Air Show in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The radar includes a host of new technologies including dual civil and military capabilities, which makes the RF surveillance system the most advanced and efficient radar surveillance system in the world, Thales officials claim.<\/p>\n<p>STAR NG is an S-band primary surveillance radar for civil and military air traffic control. The system uses digital signal processing to provide increased mitigation of the notorious\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.militaryaerospace.com\/articles\/2014\/07\/army-rim-rfi.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RF interference<\/a>\u00a0from electricity-generating wind farms, Thales officials say.
