El sistema de guerra electr\u00f3nica, conocido por su acr\u00f3nimo franc\u00e9s CUGE (capacit\u00e9 universelle de guerre \u00e9lectronique), utilizar\u00e1 las tecnolog\u00edas desarrolladas por Thales durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada para permitir que el sistema detecte y analice simult\u00e1neamente se\u00f1ales de radio y radar.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">PARIS \u2014 France has awarded a contract for Archange, its strategic airborne intelligence program aimed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/digital-show-dailies\/paris-air-show\/2019\/06\/16\/french-air-force-deputy-talks-strategy-brexit-and-future-fighter-jets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">strengthening<\/a> the country\u2019s signals intelligence capabilities, to Thales and Dassault Aviation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The procurement agency DGA awarded the contract on Dec. 30, but it wasn\u2019t announced until Tuesday. The program was launched Nov. 18 by Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The companies would not specify how much the contract was worth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Thales is expected to install a universal electronic warfare capability on three Dassault-manufactured Falcon 8X aircraft, although the announced deal is only for two aircraft. Another contract is expected to cover a third aircraft at a later date. The first two aircraft should, by 2025, replace the two Transall C-160 Gabriel aircraft that provide the French Air Force which signals intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The electronic warfare system, known by its French acronym CUGE (capacit\u00e9 universelle de guerre \u00e9lectronique), will make use of sigint technologies developed by Thales over the past decade to enable the system to simultaneously detect and analyze radio and radar signals. Thales said in a statement that this is possible thanks to multipolarization antennas and the use of artificial intelligence for automated data processing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The tri-jet Falcon 8X is Dassault\u2019s flagship business jet.
