Se pueden conectar diferentes sensores y cargas \u00fatiles al robot para hacer frente a diferentes misiones, como amenazas qu\u00edmicas, biol\u00f3gicas, radiol\u00f3gicas y nucleares (QBRN).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p>FLIR Systems has received a combined order worth $32m for the delivery of 250 Centaur unmanned ground vehicles (UGV).<\/p>\n<p>The order was placed by the US army, airforce and navy.<\/p>\n<p>The award was sourced via the Man Transportable Robotic System Increment II (MTRS Inc II) programme of the US Army.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 12 months, FLIR secured orders worth $97m for the delivery of over 750 Centaur UGVs from the US Army, airforce, navy and marine corps.<\/p>\n<p>FLIR Centaur will be used by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams across different services to aid in disarming improvised explosive devices.<\/p>\n<p>Different sensors and payloads can be attached to the robot to deal with different missions such as chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats.<\/p>\n<p>Centaur is a 160lb medium-sized UGV with an open architecture, EO\/IR camera suite, a manipulator arm and is capable of climbing stairs.<\/p>\n<p>FLIR Unmanned and Integrated Solutions business VP and general manager for unmanned ground systems Tom Frost said: \u201cWe are tremendously honoured that EOD teams across America\u2019s military are relying on our Centaur robot to help them perform dangerous missions with greater stand-off capability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom enabling easy software updates to enhanced electro-optical infrared cameras, controllers, and communication systems, the Centaur can be a game-changer for troops on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSharing common technology across EOD units also creates efficiencies for joint service operations, training and sustainment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delivery of the vehicles is expected to commence in the first quarter of next year.<\/p>\n<p>In June, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army-technology.com\/news\/flir-to-deliver-centaur-ugvs-to-us-army-and-navy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FLIR Systems won two contracts<\/a> to deliver Centaur UGVs to the US Army and US Navy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army-technology.com\/news\/flir-to-deliver-250-centaur-ugvs-to-us-army-airforce-and-navy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>https:\/\/www.army-technology.com<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FLIR Centaur ser\u00e1 utilizado por los equipos de eliminaci\u00f3n de artefactos explosivos (EOD) en diferentes servicios para ayudar a desarmar artefactos explosivos improvisados.
