Las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (IDF) emplearon el concepto de \u201cOperaciones en M\u00faltiples Dominios<\/em>\u201d, en el conflicto contra Hamas en Franja de Gaza. Consisti\u00f3 en el empleo de elementos A\u00e9reos, Navales y Terrestres de Infanter\u00eda, Artiller\u00eda y Blindados, para la detecci\u00f3n, adquisici\u00f3n y neutralizaci\u00f3n de blancos de inter\u00e9s, priorizando los recursos que mejor pod\u00edan ejecutar las misiones de fuego. Todo coordinado mediante la \u201cGhost Unit<\/em>\u201d, pilar del nuevo sistema de obtenci\u00f3n y procesamiento de la informaci\u00f3n disponible, para neutralizar los blancos de la manera m\u00e1s eficiente en el menor tiempo posible.<\/p>\n

TEL AVIV: For the first time, the Israeli Defense Force is using multi-domain operations in\u00a0the strike against Hamas<\/a>\u00a0in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The air, infantry, armor, artillery and naval forces are finding, fixing and destroying targets in Gaza according to \u201cwho has the best shot,\u201d an Israeli defense source here says.<\/p>\n

Key to this is deployment of the \u201cGhost\u201d unit, created about a year ago as part of the multi-year program known as Tnufa (Swing). The unit is the main pillar of the new\u00a0multi-domain strategy.<\/a><\/p>\n

The IDF\u2019s new multidimensional unit is based very generally on the idea of the U.S\u00a0military concept of\u00a0Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA), that was developed years ago to lay the basis for the change in the US Army. The similarities to the American All Domain Operations are obvious.<\/p>\n

Described by Israelis sources as a \u201cbattalion with the capabilities of a division,\u201d it is equipped with highly sophisticated weapon systems that are capable of performing ground, air and sea operations without the need to ask other military echelons for assets or even to coordinate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis unit is capable of producing very accurate fire power based on intelligence generated by tools that have never been in the tool box of any unit in the IDF,\u201d an Israeli source said.<\/p>\n

For example, the massive attack on the Hamas web of tunnels in which 160 Israeli aircraft took part involved close cooperation between the air force and \u201cmany other forces,\u201d the defense source says. In addition to the multi-domain approach to finding and fixing targets, the air force used \u201cspecial weapons\u201d to destroy the massive web of tunnels dug in Gaza in recent years.<\/p>\n

All\u00a0the other Israeli attacks<\/a>\u00a0on the launchers of Hamas rockets were also based on almost real time \u201cdetect and shoot\u201d sequences that were the products of the multi domain strategy, the defense source says.<\/p>\n

The ongoing operations against the Hamas proved that command and control systems and data transfer could be combined between fighter pilots, intelligence ground forces and naval units, in a way that would detect terrorists and a rapid and accurate attack on an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n
