La empresa israel\u00ed Rafael, realiz\u00f3 una demostraci\u00f3n para exponer nuevas capacidades de su l\u00ednea de Misiles SPIKE, en servicio en las FFAA de muchos pa\u00edses y de probada eficiencia en combate. En este caso, el misil SPIKE-NLOS (Non Line On Sight), fue instalado en un veh\u00edculo liviano a ruedas de la Armada de Estonia, pudiendo verificarse su desempe\u00f1o en una misi\u00f3n t\u00edpica de defensa costera. Dos misiles con un alcance de 32 km y su sistema de guiado electro-\u00f3ptico, batieron blancos navales con extrema precisi\u00f3n. La demostraci\u00f3n fue presenciada por observadores de 14 pa\u00edses usuarios del sistema SPIKE.<\/p>\n
Rafael and Oshkosh Defense have completed a live firing of Rafael’s SPIKE NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) missile from an Oshkosh JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle).<\/p>\n
SPIKE NLOS 32 km-range missile, with high accuracy achieved by\u00a0 a navigation system and lethal warheads capable of destroying a wide range of targets.<\/p>\n
The demonstration, hosted by Estonian Navy, took place in Saaremaa Island, Estonia, in front of representatives from 14 countries, including Spike-user NATO countries, and senior members of Estonia’s defense ministry and armed forces.<\/p>\n
The demo included a live firing of two SPIKE NLOS missiles from a launcher mounted on the Oshkosh JLTV. The missiles was fired towards a beyond-line-of-sight two different naval targets with different size and characteristics located at sea, both targets were destroyed.<\/p>\n
The demo displayed the SPIKE NLOS missile’s unique capabilities, addressing modern coastal protection challenges and a large variety of targets, either at sea or on land and dense marine traffic. Unlike laser-guided or active radar munitions, the SPIKE NLOS electro-optical guidance is completely passive and is capable of operation in a GPS-denied environments.<\/p>\n
The SPIKE NLOS enables positive visual target identification and precision strike at extended ranges and beyond-line-of-sight against marine targets (landing craft, corvettes, commando RIBs etc.), and on land – tanks and armored vehicles either at amphibious state or on shore, infantry, forward command posts and more. It has a bi-directional datalink, enabling full control of the missile from launch up to target hit with pinpoint precision that is not affected by range.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
