DE M-SHORAD es un l\u00e1ser de alta energ\u00eda de clase 50kW que puede batir\u00a0sistemas de aviones no tripulados\u00a0(C-UAS) y potencia de fuego\u00a0contracohetes, artiller\u00eda y morteros (C-RAM).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>KBR has demonstrated the capabilities of the Directed Energy Manoeuvre-Short Range Air Defense (DE M-SHORAD) during Combat Shoot-Off (CSO) for the US Army.<\/p>\n<p>The CSO provided a training opportunity for US Army soldiers to operate and get familiarised with the new defensive weapon.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, soldiers executed a series of vignettes that were designed to mimic realistic threats and combat scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>The laser-equipped Stryker showcased its capabilities, and ability to manoeuvre and employ multiple targets at several ranges using advanced technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The CSO took place in July at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, US.<\/p>\n<p>During the demonstration, soldiers were educated on how to operate the DE M-SHORAD vehicle using immersive virtual training designed by KBR.<\/p>\n<p>KBR Government Solutions president Byron Bright said: \u201cThe successful execution of the DE M-SHORAD system represents a major step forward in getting this state-of-the-art capability to our soldiers on the ground, in line with the US Army\u2019s modernisation strategy for air and missile defence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn under two years, the programme has rapidly progressed from design to integration and now performing in an operational environment, which is a tremendous accomplishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>KBR subsidiary Kord is the primary contractor and lead integrator for the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) DE M-SHORAD programme.<\/p>\n<p>US Army\u2019s Army Rapid Capabilities Office Strategic Communications member Nancy Jones-Bonbrest reported that the weapon system demonstrated the design characteristics and performance criteria established for the RCCTO programme.<\/p>\n<p>RCCTO noted that the programme is still underway to deliver four laser-equipped Strykers by the end of FY22.<\/p>\n<p>DE M-SHORAD is a 50kW-class high energy laser that can deliver sustained counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (C-UAS) and counter-rocket, artillery, mortar (C-RAM) firepower to the modern battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>The prototype is expected to be fielded in FY22.<\/p>\n<p>In October last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army-technology.com\/news\/kbr-acquires-technology-solutions-provider-centauri-for-800m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KBR completed the acquisition of Centauri<\/a>, a US-based company that provides high-end engineering, intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced technology solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army-technology.com\/news\/kbr-demonstrates-de-m-shorad-capabilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>https:\/\/www.army-technology.com<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La oficina de Tecnolog\u00edas Cr\u00edticas y Capacidades R\u00e1pidas del USARMY &#8211; RCCTO, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el programa est\u00e1 en marcha para entregar cuatro Strykers equipados con&hellip; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":8608,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[11,2],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8607"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=8607"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8607\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":8609,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8607\/revisions\/8609"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/8608"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=8607"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=8607"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=8607"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
