Originalmente desarrollada para sistemas de calibraci\u00f3n de sat\u00e9lites, sus excepcionales propiedades f\u00edsicas y \u00f3pticas, han permitido \u00a0encontrar una enorme cantidad de campos de aplicaci\u00f3n de este material.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Vantablack?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vantablack\u00ae is a super-black coating that holds the world record as the darkest man-made substance.\u00a0It was originally developed for satellite-borne blackbody calibration systems, but its unique physical and optical\u00a0properties have resulted in it finding widespread application.\u00a0Vantablack is available in two versions, either directly\u00a0applied to surfaces\u00a0using vacuum-deposition technology or, in the case of\u00a0Vantablack S-VIS, by spraying and then post-processing.<\/p>\n<p>Vantablack absorbs\u00a0virtually all incident light, making it ideally suited to addressing a host of light-suppression and light-management problems. It reflects so little light that it is often described as the closest thing to a black hole we&#8217;ll ever see.
