Estos lanzamientos de ensayo, se llevaron a cabo como parte de un plan de la “Academia de Ciencias de la Defensa, la Segunda Comisi\u00f3n de Econom\u00eda y otras instituciones”.\u00a0Los misiles alcanzaron una isla objetivo, ubicada en el Mar Oriental de Corea, lo cual obviamente\u00a0gener\u00f3 alarma entre pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n como Jap\u00f3n y Corea del Sur.<\/p>\n
The Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has confirmed that it test-fired two tactical guided missiles on 17 January.<\/p>\n
State-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA)\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0on 18 January that the test-firings were carried out as part of a plan by the \u201cAcademy of Defence Science, the Second Economy Commission and other institutions\u201d.<\/p>\n It was intended to \u201cselectively evaluate tactical guided missiles being produced and deployed\u201d and to assess the accuracy of the weapons.<\/p>\n The missiles were launched from the western area of North Korea. This latest firing is the fourth missile test carried out by North Korea this month.<\/p>\n The news agency also said that \u201cthe Academy of Defence Science confirmed the accuracy, security and efficiency of the operation of the weapon system under production\u201d.<\/p>\n The North Korean launches were detected by both Japan and South Korea.<\/p>\n Condemning the firings, Japan chief cabinet secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said: \u201cWe strongly condemn the series of North Korean actions, including the repeated launches of ballistic missiles, that threaten the peace and security of Japan and the region, and the international community.\u201d<\/p>\n
