{"id":9907,"date":"2022-05-05T10:39:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T13:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/?p=9907"},"modified":"2022-05-05T10:39:39","modified_gmt":"2022-05-05T13:39:39","slug":"armas-electronicas-laser-contra-pequenos-uav-uas-programa-p-hel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fie.undef.edu.ar\/ceptm\/?p=9907","title":{"rendered":"Armas\u00a0electr\u00f3nicas laser contra peque\u00f1os UAV \/ UAS &#8211; Programa P- HEL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El programa P-HEL est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para combatir la amenaza de los peque\u00f1os sistemas de aviones no tripulados (sUAS) con un prototipo de contra-sUAS.\u00a0BlueHalo ha dicho que ha\u00a0entregado\u00a0su sistema de armas l\u00e1ser LOCUST (LWS) para la integraci\u00f3n con el sistema de l\u00e1ser de alta energ\u00eda paletizado (P-HEL).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>BlueHalo has said that it has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bluehalo.com\/press_release\/bluehalo-locust-laser-weapon-system-delivered-to-the-palletized-high-energy-laser-p-hel-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">delivered<\/a>\u00a0its LOCUST Laser Weapon System (LWS) for integration with the Palletized High Energy Laser (P-HEL) system.<\/p>\n<p>The US Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) devised the P-HEL programme to combat the threat of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) with a counter-sUAS (C-sUAS) prototype.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is supported by the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the initiative, the JCO seeks to test the P-HEL in a relevant environment at the Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG). This will be followed by further assessments and the potential deployment of the system overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that the LOCUST system, after integration, performed well during a recent event.<\/p>\n<p>BlueHalo sector president Dan Gillings said: \u201cOur laser weapon is a key part of BlueHalo\u2019s LOCUST family of products that leverage decades of experience on a wide variety of directed energy weapon programs, dating back to the Airborne Laser, Airborne Tactical Laser, and High Energy Laser Mobile demonstrator, culminated by our investments in the laser weapon system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The LOCUST LWS is based on modular, open-systems architecture.
