LAHAT ALPHA, la nueva generación de misiles con guiado láser

La empresa Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), ha presentado LAHAT ALPHA, la nueva generación de su exitosa familia de misiles guiados por Láser, especialmente aptos para el ataque sobre vehículos blindados. Con un alcance de más de 20 km y 25 kg de peso, estas características le permiten su empleo desde plataformas aéreas y terrestres livianas, fuera de la línea de visión del blanco (NLOS) y del alcance de los sistemas de Def Ae cercana (SHORAD) del enemigo. Este tipo de misiles que emplean “Laser -Homing Guidance” (Localización guiada por Láser) pueden operar de manera muy eficiente en entornos de GPS denegado.


Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled the LAHAT ALPHA, a next-generation addition to its Laser-Homing Anti-Tank (LAHAT) missile family, designed for engagements at ranges exceeding 20 kilometres.

The 2-metre, 25-kilogram system features a large warhead effective against armoured vehicles, fortified structures, coastal positions, and fast-moving targets.

Designed for stand-off operations, the missile can be launched from ground vehicles or helicopters to engage targets designated by ground or airborne laser designators.

According to IAI, the missile’s laser-homing guidance allows reliable operation in GPS-denied environments. The company also notes that LAHAT ALPHA is user-friendly, requiring less than one week of operator training.

The unveiling of LAHAT ALPHA’s reflects a broader global trend towards precision-guided munitions capable of delivering tank-level lethality from safer stand-off distances.

Comparable systems, such as Rafael’s Spike NLOS and Lockheed Martin’s Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) underscore the growing demand for cost-effective, network-enabled weapons optimised for rapid deployment and multi-platform integration.
