El Departamento de Defensa de EUA organiza el “2019 – Hypersonics Capabilities Symposium” con la finalidad de brindar a los funcionarios estatales y a los directivos de la Industria, de un ámbito adecuado para intercambiar ideas y aportar soluciones, a la amenaza del desarrollo de sistemas de armas con capacidad de vuelo y ataque en régimen hipersónico. Un verdadero desafío para las grandes Potencias, que deben realizar una revisión integral de sus sistemas defensivos, así como su organización y doctrina, para poder hacer frente a éstas nuevas amenazas.

- DSI’s 2019 DoD Hypersonic Capabilities Symposium will emphasize the pressing need to develop offensive and defensive hypersonic technologies to counter and gain a lead on Russian and Chinese technological advances in this field. Hypersonic Missiles and Glide Vehicles can bypass conventional missile defense systems and pose a threat to US Forces across ground, air, and sea. Developing counter measures, as well as missiles of our own will provide the United States with the deterrence needed to prevent an attack against its forces and help maintain its place as the dominant global force.
