La Compañía Israelí en tecnologías para la defensa MC TECH, ha presentado su sistema de detección e interceptación de Vehículos Aéreos no tripulados (UAV)denominado MC HORIZON. El desarrollo de modernos sistemas de neutralización de UAVs, se viene mostrando como una necesidad, imperiosa, en la medida que se incrementa el empleo de estos ingenios en el ámbito de la Defensa. El sistema es capaz de detectar la amenaza a unos 3.5 Km y neutralizarla hasta unos 2.5 km de distancia.
Israel based research technologies company MCTECH presented C-UAV (counter-UAV) system MC-HORIZON developed for mini and micro UAVs interception. The system is able to detect, capture, neutralize as well as eliminate a posing threat drone.
The MC-HORIZON is a high precision system able to indicate a UAV on a distance exceeding 3.5 kilometers. Full drone interception option is possible within 2.5 kilometers range. System’s one of the most notable advantages is the ability to deploy so called “protective dome” around critical object or facility totally excluding drone penetration possibility in the protected area.
The MC-HORIZON comes in two variants where one is stationary system designed for different facilities or security sensitive areas protection. The second version of the C-UAV system is a mobile unit deployed on a transport platform intended for maneuvering troops, vehicles or other moving units protection.
According to MCTECH the MC-HORIZON is “modular, scalable and suitable for many tasks”.
The C-UAV system has already passed field trials confirming the claimed technical specifications and operational capacities.
